The Batu Caves are located arround 12 km north of the city center (30 minutes taxi ride from the Golden Triangle). You have to go up arround 250 steps to reach the caves. In front of these steps, you see a huge golden buddistic statue. When reaching the top, you can walk in the caves which offer a marvelous view of a natural, old and green sight. The duration of a visit is arround 1 hour.
Menara tower (KL tower)
After our visit at the Batu Caves we headed direct to the Menara tower. It's the 4th tallest TV tower in the world and offers a spectacular view over the city. If you'd like you can get audio guides which tell you everything you should know about the city.
Suria KLCC shopping mall
This shopping mall located right behind the Petronas Twin Towers (same complex) and offers a wide range of different stores af all types. On the 3th and 5th floor you find many foodstalls and restaurants. We tried an Indian restaurant and ordered chicken dishes which tasted delicious. In this shopping mall you can spend hours.
Walking through the city is a pleasure everytime. You pass all the huge skyscrapers and can look upwards all the time. KL is a multicultural (many European, American and Asian people) metropolis.
Tomorrow we'll visit the Twin Towers and the Lake Gardens (+ if possible Chinatown and the Central Market).
