stuck at the pipe
I have been to Brunswick Junction a few times and on this particular trip of not too difficult 4wding I came upon an obstacle i didn't take too seriously, a massive water pipe. I got out of the car and had a look at the pipe and apart from a massive hole on the right side of the track with a big wall of rock next to it I didn't see any problems with it.

I had worked out where i was going to drive as always and set off to drive over it, my first of many attempts ended with my car hitting the pipe at speed and getting slammed into the wall on the right. I am however not one to shy away from a challenge and so I tried again, every time my front wheels hit the pipe my car would violently pull to the right and i would hit the wall each time.
over the pipe
At one point members of the club literally dragged my car into a position they thought i could make it up from, this also failed as i couldn't manage enough speed.

At this point i should explain something about my car so that if you look at the photos you will understand where all the smoke came from. My LJ 50 has a 2 stroke engine that has a separate oil tank and then pumps in the required amount of oil depending on how much it needs. When i am doing something crazy like bashing into a big unmovable water pipe it pumps in loads of oil and thats why you get this beautiful blue coloured smoke out the back. It smells very nice too :)

After so many failed attempts and not making any progress i decided to have 1 last go before calling it quits, i knew at this point that I had already damaged my car and thought anymore than 1 more run and i would do some serious damage.
a new dent after the pipe
I went flying along the track and did my usual trick of trying to bounce the car off the object i was trying to get over. My car went straight up into the air and then landed on top of the pipe. I tried to drive on from that point but i just didn't have enough grip for the final few centimeters, in the end i got some help to pull my car the final distance. I am very happy to have conquered that pipe as most people would have given up long before and I decided to keep going.

As it turns out my car wasn't the only thing i managed to damage, I also took a big chunk out of that pipe. In one of the photos you can see some white scratches from where my car kept on hitting the pipe, well it was in that same aera where the chunk was removed :)
