My third year to Ambergris Caye in Belize. Every year it just gets better and better!!! :-) Unfortunately, Hurricane Dean hit Belize in August 07 so much of the island is still cleaning up and rebuilding docks and other structures that were damaged in the storm.

Flying Into Belize City and Ambergris Caye

For whatever reason, this last year I started becoming fascinated with watching clouds every time I would fly somewhere. I decided I would see if I could get any decent photos while I was on the plane. Unfortunately, a seat over the wing is not conducive to great photos! :-)

Once we hit Belize City and hopped on our puddle jumper over to the Caye, it started POURING rain, a theme for the remainder of the week unfortunately. Usually we always have good weather but it was a rough storm season last year. For those who follow the hurricanes like I do, there was a fair amount of damage from Hurricane Dean in August, 2007.
