Supposedly this is one of those 'see and be seen' places that's a part of Atlanta's nightlife, but I have to say that tonight must have been an 'off' night because I didn't see anyone famous. Or maybe I just don't know any famous people!
The Atlanta Palm is a great restaurant for steaks and seafood but is very much on the pricey side (over $250 for 4 people not including drinks). Can't say that I was overly impressed with the service either - somewhat attentive then our server would disappear for long periods of time. The Atlanta location is inside the Westin Buckhead (the shopping and financial district of Atlanta, north of Downtown and Midtown) right next to Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square (great malls if you're into shopping). Reservations are highly recommended. Steaks and lobster are the specialties but the menu has other items as well. Great vegetable selections, especially the potatoes au gratin.
Easy access to validated parking at the Westin Buckhead or by rapid transit on the NORTH rail line on Marta (North Springs line). Get off at the Buckhead station on the south side of Peachtree road and follow the signs to Lenox Square Mall. The Westin is right next door on Peachtree Road before you get to the mall, across from the Ritz Carlton.
