Atlanta Travel Blog › entry 14 of 21 › view all entries

At the suggestion of another TravBuddy member, I've decided to start a blog on Atlanta. There are tons of things to do here (and gazillions of great places to eat) so hopefully this will be of some use to those who wish to visit Atlanta! Keep checking back! If you are planning a trip to Atlanta, FEEL FREE to send me a message and let me know what you're wanting to do. I'd be glad to help you find you're way around and maybe even meet up for lunch or dinner while you're here! :-)
Historically speaking, I am really not a huge fan of "Mexican" food only because I feel it's just so over-rated. I always get the feeling my food has been prepared ahead of time and microwaved just before they send it out. But at La Paz, TexMex meets Mexican for a truly fantastic treat.

This restaurant is also located in the small hamlet of Vinings in the Northwestern quadrant of Metropolitan Atlanta. La Paz has a huge following in metro Atlanta. The interior is filled with antiques and artifacts, Spanish tiles and other items from Mexico adding to the fun-filled atmosphere.

From the minute you walk in the door, the service at La Paz in unlike that anywhere else. The roasted tomato and tomatillo salas are made fresh daily and are served with crispy tortilla chips in three flavors. The salads at La Paz are huge and topped with the most flavorful dressings. One of my favorites is the Honey Glazed Grilled Salmon served with a raspberry-walnut vinaigrette. Mmmmmmmm. Also available are winderfully crisp chimichangas, tasty Baha Grouper Fish Tacos, and a huge sirloin steak quesadilla.
