Candles in Church

We went to Vienna on a day trip from Bratislava,we met a nice canadian bloke called Tyler in our dorm who came with us for the day.It made sense to go to Vienna seeing as we were so close and we also got to tick another country off, woohoo. On the way to vienna on the train the countryside was beautiful and i looked out of the window and we passed an ostrich farm.Which was highly amusing as its not what i expected to see in Austria.

The only plan was to just walk around the city seeing what it had to offer,Vienna was a beautiful city and when we first arrived there we just walked in a general direction that we thought the city centre would be.Luckily i have a good sense of direction.

First we came to Belvedere Palace which was an amazing building, although it reminded me alot of a place called Oldway mansion where i live.

Belvedere
haha.We strolled around the grounds in Belevedere before heading into to town. The heat at this time of day was unbelievably hot and we found a huge church in Vienna and went in as it acted as a haven from the heat.We had no idea what this church was because we had no guidebook just a german map.haha.It must of been a big deal though as it was huge.

As we were walking round the city we walked through a few parks which were very nice and we came across bikes that you can rent which i thought was a great idea.Put your money in and it releases the bike then off you go.But as we were looking at the bikes there was a rather strange woman looking at us from the bushes on in the park.We chose to ignore her but as we walked around into the park i glanced into the bushes to see the woman, squatting down.Pissing on the floor. This was the second time i had seen this in three weeks. And lets be honest, its not the sort of thing you expect to see very often. But if there is one thing mainland europe lacks is public toilets,i did feel for these women because being a man its a piece of piss to piss.haha

we are spoilt in England for toilets, even if they are hideous. Have you been to Oldway mansion. Its not as good( not even close), but it did remind me of it!

Ouch at your Oldway Mansion comparison!

Agree with lack of public toilets and internet cafes in mainland EU. I guess the UK spoils tourists (and residents such as yourself)
