Yellowstone!

July 1, 2008

  • We drove from Grand Teton NP to Yellowstone
  • Saw the West Thumb hot springs-very cool. The springs had a beautiful teal color and were so clear you could see down about 10 feet.
  • Saw Caribou cross the road and came across a LOT of bison
  • Saw some more hot springs, geysers, hot springs, ext. One cool one was called dragon’s mouth because there was a narrow black cave that had steam coming out of it. The steam was because of the hot water but it did look like a dragon’s breath
  • Went to our campsite were the family in the nest campsite helped us back up into our campsite. We started talking and they were really nice. There was Shawn who is 13, Daniel who is 10, and Kyle who is 8. We had fun laughing and playing around the campfire. We ended staying up till 11 p.m.!

Hey Jazy!

That's so cool that you get to meet all kinds of interesting people on your trip. Maybe you'll see them again someday :) Are you keeping contact information of some of the friends you meet on the road? I hope you're having fun in Alaska with your Dad this week. Did you get those polynomials and distance/time/rate problems figured out? I had a lot of fun seeing you all in Colorado :) Keep on rockin' and rollin' on your journey!
