Fairbanks and the North Pole!

Drove from Chicken to Fairbanks
We stopped by the North Pole, Alaska. There was a giant Santa, all the light poles were painted like candy canes, and there were reindeer. It was lots of fun, and I have a feeling it would be even more fun around Christmas time.
Mom and Lia got up early and went over to talk to our friends with adventure caravans. We stayed in the same place as them last night, and we planned to meet them on the 25th, at the Riverside campground.
We went to Rika’s roadhouse. It is an original roadhouse and was very pretty. There were cottages, the Tanana River, a beautiful garden, and many other things that gave the place a wonderful feeling. Did you know that Rika’s garden grew so big and strong, that the University of Alaska studied her techniques? I had no idea!
We arrived at the campground around ten. It is a beautiful campground with a wonderful restaurant and a walk along the river to the restaurant. I am so glad we are staying her for the next few days. I am also really excited about picking up my dad at the airport tomorrow.
