Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon was really pretty and amazing. I hiked in it and my Mom suggested that we should stop and I said, "Oh no, I want to keep on going!" But she was right. It was really hard to hike back up. We saw some mules- I wished I could ride them.
At the campground, we went to the campfire where Ranger Lori talked about mountain lions. She had 2 dead skins and you could feel them. They felt really soft. She also told us that their tongue is very rough- they use their tongue to rip off the skin of their prey to get to the big, juicy meat part. She kept some skat (poop) of all sorts of animals- I thought that was kind of weird!
When we were riding our bikes around the campground, we saw humongous male elks! They were scary and I did not want bike past them, but my sister did- I turned around.
We went up to the watchtower and you could see for miles and miles.
