Wall, South Dakota and the Badlands

Wall Travel Blog › entry 12 of 18 › view trip summary

During our eight days we visited Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and South Dakota. We saw Yellowstone National Park, Devil's Tower, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Custer State Park, The Badlands. We saw Elk, Wolves, Moose, Coyotes, Bigh Horn Sheep, Prong Horn Sheep, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Mule Deer, Bison, Wild Turkey, Geese, Chipmunks and Trumpeter Swans. A vacation never forget and I'll have to return in the summer when everything is green.

Wall, South Dakota and the Badlands

The town of Wall is about an hour east of Rapid City, South Dakota on I-90.  It reminds me of an old frontier town. It is a tourist trap but there is a lot of things to see and do. A great break from the driving. Also it's at the begining of Hwy 240 the Badlands National Park Loop Road.
