During our eight days we visited Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and South Dakota. We saw Yellowstone National Park, Devil's Tower, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Custer State Park, The Badlands. We saw Elk, Wolves, Moose, Coyotes, Bigh Horn Sheep, Prong Horn Sheep, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Mule Deer, Bison, Wild Turkey, Geese, Chipmunks and Trumpeter Swans. A vacation never forget and I'll have to return in the summer when everything is green.

Rapid City, South Dakota to West Yellowstone, Montana

Me on Hwy 191 South of Bozeman

All I can say is we are both tired of driving!!! Last night in Wall, SD we had a bad lightning and thunderstorm, awesome light show with some pea size hail and a lot of wind. We got up at 5:00am and left by 6:00am. We stoped in Rapid City at McDonalds for a drive thru breakfast and I-90 Westbound we went. We stopped in Billings, MT for lunch. Our day ended in West Yellowstone, MT. We are staying at the Comfort Inn. We had a great dinner at Bullwinkles. We both had beef tips over egg noodles, beer, and some dessert.

Between Bozeman and West Yellowstone the snow was everywhere. We got a few more shots of a Coyote walking thru the snow..beautiful!!

We where going to drive into Idaho Falls, ID but there was an accident on Hwy 20 between two semi-trucks 15 miles west of West Yellowstone in the town of Island Park. We waited for about an hour and decided to turn around a head back to West Yellowstone before it got to late. Most of the road was snow covered and the elk like to wander around at night, so I wanted to be settled before night fall.
