The BEST Buffalo wings in the World!!!
Quaker steak and Lube started out in the 70's in Sharon, PA. The founder decided to turn an old Quaker State gas station into a wing joint. Each Lube has their own different types of cars in them... this one specialized in racing cars decoraring the ceilings and walls where as other ones focus on motorcycles, antique cars or muscle cars.
They are starting to pop up all over the country... there's some in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Tennesee, Wisconson and now Iowa!
QS&L is known for their wing sauces and have won alot of awards for them and have been voted the Best Wings in the USA and are now the official wings of the Lowe's motor speedway.
My favorite sauce is Cajun and Louisiana Lickers! And the flavor just melts in your mouth. Normally I get a compact bucket of wings... there are about 22-24 wings and the nice thing about this bucket is you can split them with 2 different sauces... so I can always get my favorite and take the rest home or split it with a friend.
But on tuesdays they have all you can eat wing and french fry day for $12. Here you can get the wings in incriments of 5 at a time and sample all you want.
I do have to say though... by being a huge fan of QS&L these wings at the location in Iowa were my favorite (my least is in the Pittsburgh Airport location)... these ones were huge wings, full of flavor and not dry at all... the sauce was saucey, not dry either. But I don't know if it's my favorite because I haven't had them in a while and I've been surrounded by mediocre wing places or if this place is just better. But Matt and Valerie both said it was worth the 700 mile drive (round trip) to get them!
Oh and don't forget to get the atomic wings... these they serve with a glass of milk because the Scoville Units (SHU---see below for an explaination if you don't know what it is) are so intense that most people can't finish 5... but if you can your name will be put on the wall of fame! Just remember, you must sign a waiver before you eat them!
Here's a list of their flavors!
