tour around the city

I met a TB fellow who could not make it to the Meetup the day before in Cologne. I was kind of late that day - slept too long because of the long night before. We went up a the ??? Tower to get a nice panoramic view of the city. This building is across from Cologne’s Old Town just walk across the Hohenzollern Bridge to Köln Deutz. I have to find out the name of that buliding but you won`t miss it - it is big enough to see. Entrance fee: 1 person = € 3,- /  2 = € 5,- / 3 = € 7,- / 4 = € 9,- / 5 = € 11,- 

From there we walked along the Rhine side towards the Zoobridge through the park. First you pass the Beach Club which is not far from the Tanzbrunnen • here you’ll see 1,100 t of sand on an area of 3,500 m².

 You can reserve parts of it for exclusive get-togethers, company events and other gatherings for up to 2,500 visitors. From the park we took the cable car to get across the bridge. Fees per person: € 4,- ow or €  6,- return - they also have group offers.... A shame we did not have more time otherwise we could have gone to the Flora or the Zoo as well, which are both located near the cable car get off on the other side.... But of course there is always another time!!

So we made our way back along the Promenade towards the catherdral (Dom). On the way is the Bastei a very nice restaurant with a great panoramic view. A TB friend asked me what else there is to see and do in Cologne beside the Dom. Well, I think there is plenty more than the Dom even this is the most impressive building in the city!! ;-)
