Safari Inn

Dar es Salaam Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I was in tanzania for a month, in a small villiage teaching english. Had a really incredible time. Didnt go with a group, made it even better, through all the downsides, eg. malaria and nearly going over a cliff, i had a great time!! Read on.
Place to stay for one night. Only.
No mozzie net, which freaked me out cause i had already had malaria once, and didnt want it again.
Very hot, but thats dar for you, not the inn. You need to walk down a really freaky street to get to it (I was a female traveling alone). The room was clean and all, the bathroom was decent. Nice and cheap internet cafe downstairs (limited opening hours)
Decent breaky included in the price, made up for the noise the nigth before.
I ahve to admit the most annoying part was that my fan made a clicking noise ALL night.
If you need to go somewhere the next day organise for your taxi driver to come and pick you up! Reception spoke great english, and although not friendly, were very helpful!
