I'm going away tomorrow night so I won't be able to update until I get home and I'm sure I'll have lots of things to say, so this is just a quick update mainly to throw up a few pictures from today. The bottom paint is on!! She looks like a real boat!!! Ok, she looked like a real boat before. But this is such a morale boost to see her looking so ready to launch/sail/etc. I've spent the last two days wet sanding parts of the deck, which has been a bit more challenging than normal because we're using 600 grit sandpaper. I don't know quite how to convey what this means, but lets just say it resembles the texture of a normal piece of paper. Like it takes a realllly long time to sand everything. But it's so smooth afterwards! So my CD player has been invaluable, even if I do end up listening to the same eight songs in a row for hours! We also spent some time yesterday sanding the teak in the forward cabin, also challenging because of the residue left from tape on it. But it looks good and is ready for teak oil sometime next week when we're back hopefully. I had a nice noodle dinner tonight and now have to pack for the weekend!!
