pretty white deck
Phew, can't believe it's been almost a week since I wrote, seems like forever!  We've been pretty busy as usual.  Various parts of the boat have been getting painted all this week and it's exciting to see the progress.  Other little things that are happening: hatch covers going on the deck, prisms going in the deck, fiberglass walls in the heads, outlets and reading lights and fans in the cabins, doors on the cabins, galley counters going in... that kind of stuff.  The good news is we're almost done sanding!  Today was maybe our last day but it turned out they were painting on deck so we found some other odd jobs to do.  I painted some of the anchor chain and did a few splices, so that was fun.  Early in the week it was more sanding, just concentrated in the cockpit area so it's detail work, my favorite.  On wednesday we all went out to dinner at a pasta place which was fun, and then on thursday it was Travis's birthday so we went to eat at a restaurant in the Emporium.  Friday night was St. Patrick's day so we had dinner and drinks at our favorite Irish pub.  It was crazy as you might imagine, and there was an Irish band so that was cool.  What's not cool is that I got sick yesterday, a cold/flu thing that has been going around.  I'm happy tomorrow is our day off and I don't have to do a whole lot.  Happy St. Paddy's day to everyone back home and I hope you all have a great weekend!
