Getting back to the grind of things on monday was a bit hard, but we had the upcoming launch to look forward to. We've spent the last couple days finalizing the details on all our projects, and dealing with some new problems as they arose. Like the anchor, the bobstay, and the rudder... but hopefully we are still on for either tomorrow or the friday! On monday I did some sanding up on deck and some stenciling, yesterday I spent a while test fitting some of the stanchions, and today I did a lot of sewing. Winston and I made some straps out of webbing that attach to the dinghy to when it's pulled out of the water. My fingers are sore- there were a lot of little stitches! The best thing of the past couple days is that there is a new dog at the yard! At least it's been there the past couple days.
p.s. the article I wrote just after I got here was just published in the May issue of the magazine "Latitudes and Attitudes", so if you are in a bookstore any time soon check it out! (And if anybody is feeling really ambitious, take some digital pics and email me because I haven't seen it yet and can't find it here)
