finished (mostly) hallway area
I wanted to write a quick update because I have a feeling I will want to write a lot tomorrow, and it would be too much to remember otherwise! This weekend was pretty relaxed. I had a fever/flu thing saturday night but after sleeping for 16 hours I felt a lot better! I spent sunday doing an errand, and then just hung out around the crew house playing on the computer, watching a DVD, reading, etc... a good way to spend a sunday when you're sick. I went out to dinner to one of my favorite restaurants and had some amazing noodle soup...mmmm. Monday at work... actually I can't remember for the life of me what I did now.... maybe some splicing? Did I finish sanding yesterday? Maybe that was it. Today was a productive day.

I made some key ring pulls for the lifelines and then Jay and I made some sweet Turk's Heads mats to go under the blocks on deck so they don't bang around and scratch stuff. They also moved the boat today so they could put it up higher to attach the rudder on thursday and to paint around where the scaffolding was. The boat looks really great now with all the scaffolding down and the wooden cap rail on. Tomorrow is the keel laying ceremony for two military boats the yard is building for the king's coronation anniversary next year, so there is no work in the morning and the Admiral of the Navy is coming to do something special (stick his thumb in cement?). We don't have to leave for work until around 2! And we get to dress up, which should be fun. Ally arrived today and we all went for a pre-birthday dinner at Seoul (one of my fave restaurants) and they guys got me a cake and a card and an US magazine!!!!!! We are all soooo tired now so it's early to bed and we're excited to sleep in tomorrow!
