This week has been so crazy busy! The end of my monday was really nice; I went to one of my favorite restaurants and had dinner at - outside and in daylight!Crazy! Then I had tea and desert at the Emporium which was really relaxing.Another thing on my to-do list was to get my hair cut, as we have a hair salon in our building and I pass it multiple times a day so it’s hard not to have haircuts on the mind. When I was sitting in the chair they put a book of hair pictures in front of me, and when the guy flipped open the book to the first page and pointed at a girl with spiky short hair I made sure it was clear that I only wanted a trim.So the girl cutting my hair brushed it all out on my shoulders and cut in a straight line across! For all the girls out there that are cringing, don’t worry it worked out fine.

It only took five minutes total, and then she spent the next half hour blow drying my hair perfectly straight.I was pretty impressed, I’ve never had anyone make my hair so straight and soft before and I was bummed to remember that it was going to get all messed up at work the next day.Oh well though, it was nice for one night! And the best part, the whole thing was only five dollars!I think that was it for monday, tuesday it was back to work and more stenciling suits. My markers had all run dry by the end of the day so I did a few other random things at the end.Tuesday night was John’s last night not only in Bangkok, but the end of over eight months of traveling. So we went out to dinner to celebrate and met up with another AQ staffer from a couple years ago who had just arrived that afternoon to visit a friend.

What a funny coincidence. It was also Bill Langan’s (our designer and Tom’s dad) last night so he joined us and it was festive goodbye dinner.I barely slept on tuesday night for some reason, so wednesday I armed myself with a fan, music, iced tea, and hard candy to keep myself going for my day in the storeroom finishing up stenciling the suits.Gradually the fan and music disappeared, but that was ok.My favorite part, besides finally finishing, was that I didn’t have to wear shoes all day. Walking around in flip flops was so nice. I also tried on the last suit that I finished and found out that “adult universal” size really is universal for people a lot taller than me.When I was zipped up you could only see my eyes. But it would keep me alive if I were swimming in it, so that’s what counts.
that's me craning my neck to stick my face out
Last night was Eliot’s last night, as he is off to England for a week and then to the AQ office in Florida. We were very sad to see him go but used that as an excuse to have a fun night out at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.Luckily this morning was our sleep in morning so that was nice.Today I helped Tom and Boomer replace the broken prisms in the deck, which took until after lunch. Then I entered more info into the computer in the afternoon which I always enjoy.I’m sitting at Starbucks right now after having my favorite noodles for dinner, but I was sad that my usual waitress wasn’t there because she’s the only one that brings me my favorite sauce for my rice.Oh well, I’m sure the at least 3 other times I will go next week will make up for it!Ok it’s off to bed for me, happy thursday everyone.
