Bombay Beach

While North Shore is abandoned, Bombay Beach, another failed resort town to the south, remains as sort of post apocalyptic trailer park. The infrastructure has been taken over by various desert dwellers who have cobbled together houses and homesteads usually built around the hulk of an original trailer or foundations of planned vacation houses. Quite an interesting set of characters live out there, somehow maintaining a community out at the edge of the world. I'll get more pictures next visit, but I got a few of the abandoned county park there on the beach. You'll notice there's kind of an abandoned theme starting to show here...
