After fininshing about my third mai tai, these two guys in sarongs finally arrived to pull the pig out of this pit that had been covered in hot ashes and coals. Fortunately, our pig had already been prepared earlier and food was being laid out as these two guys were doing their thing. It's a good thing because I was starving and all of the alcohol was going to my head fast. Didn't want any 'performance related issues' later on - if you get my drift.
Half way through a dinner of roasted pork that was great, they started the show. Oh, and by the way, don't waste your time on the poi! The show was filled with lots of dancing, yelling, smoke and flames. Guys twirling batons that were on fire on the ends, more dancing, more music, etc. I haven't seen girls shake their hips like that since - well, since ever. We'll soon find out if my date can do that....
