Atlanta to LAX

This was my first trip to Hawaii and I had such a great time - the picture pretty much sums up how I ended every night: passed out. Fortunately I had friends that didn't write stupid sayings on my forehead! Really did a lot of the 'touristy' things this time around. Be sure to also check out my most recent trip in February 2006.

Atlanta to LAX

Yea, baby! First class is the ONLY way to travel!
Started the day today going to Los Angeles from Atlanta for a small layover and rainy day lunch at LAX with a friend that works nearby.  I really have to say that if you can afford to fly first class, get someone to pay for first class for you or use airline miles to get into first class - DO IT.  Especially if it's a long haul flight of 4 hours or more.  It's SO much more comfortable.  And there are usually no screaming brats to listen to or worry about kicking the back of your seat all the way to your destination because their parent's have grown oblivious to their crap.

I really like the way they converted the old Air Traffic Control tower to The Encounter Restaurant at LAX.  Truly awesome views of runways on each side except with todays fog, low clods and rain it was difficult to see just about anything.  Very funky place on the inside.  Good food every time I've gone there, especially the calamari.  Was glad to get out LAX on time today and look forward to much warmer climates in Hawaii!
