Mini Meet-up Amsterdam march 2008!

Spending my time before the meet-up

I went to Amsterdam for two days and again it was great to be there.....I went by train again and I took the train from Leeuwarden around 09.30 a clock in the moring...I came in Amsterdam at 12.00 a clock....First I went to the hostel nearby the Vondelpark were I went before during my stay in Amsterdam....I had a litle problem.....I did not had my ID with me....I was sooooo happy that they were fin for now with it, but only for this time.....When I put the Bagage in the room, I went to the 9 streets for a longer piek, nice stores .....I had contact before with Ket, because we were planning to go for lunch.....but he was at the hairdresser haha....He had to wait long there before they could help him..

'De Negen straatjes' are located in the hart of Amsterdam, in a part of the old city center......There are nice stores and for anyone something.....There are also nice lunchrooms and bars.....I went for the lunch to 'van Harte' in the Hartenstraat.....It was a great place to be and the lunch was very jummie! During my walk my feet started hurting....I had for for me not easy boots on heyhey.....Afther that I went down to a place up to 'de Dam' were I had met Ket with his nice, modern haircute....It looked great! It was already 3 PM so we went to a place nearby the koffiehuis, "Smids" were I met the others at 4 PM.....Later on Jos called me from the trainstation and he went also to the place Ket and I were drinking...

At 4 PM we were at 'smids' Koffiehuis nearby the trainstation.

..and YES it was the place we had meet- up for the first time during the Amsterdam meet-up in januari...Walking down the stares was killing me...Ketjuuuuuh was teasing me a lot and made a fun of me...hihi....It was funny.....I said that I had so much respect for Marloes who walked and shopped the whole time on high hiels......WHoooooo......We sat there till 5.30 PM. It was a small group, but now I had the change realy talk with everybody....A lot had so many travel experience like Dennis, Johan, Rudolph.....It was interesting hearing about there adventures.....We had a few drinks over there and it was great meeting new people there.....I knew Johan, Ket and Suat from the meet-up from last januari. We went to the Restaurant 'BAZAR' Suat was kind our guide, it felt like it. ...He knew his way very well and was very helpful!

We took the tram to 'de Pijp' were the restaurant was....From the outside it did not looked like a reastaurant, but inside it was great...whooooo....The foods was great and you will read more later on in my review! We had a table for 10 persons and we swiched sometimes so we could talk with other people.....It was a great group and not big, so I got the change realy get to know the people...I talked a lot with Max from Italy.....I have plans for Rome so it was for me very nice to know more about Italy.....It was very interessthing....I also had a great talk with Anna about a lot subjects, a very sweet girl and only girl with me during the meet-up.......We shared a lot travel storys with each other and it was a wonderful group all together.

.....Everybody had there story and personality.....I finaly got the change to sat with Suat and Johan who I already met during the Amsterdam meet-up last januari, but not had the change to talk with them. It was great that they were there again and Ketjuuuuuuuh....but I talked with him more then the rest that went to this meet-up in march.....

Afther the wonderful diner with the group we went to a bar lounch in 'de pijp' called "Barca" It looked red from the outside and I did get our Atention......We did drink a beer and I had a Bailey what I realy like! The first people left around 23.00/ 11 a clock in the evening.....We did tryed to get Dasje (Dennis) out of her, but he did not come and could not make it afther all.

......Renske was also trying to come afther her work, but could also not make it.....She called me that evening end we planned a meet-up at the Dam at 12 a clock on the thursday! Ket was teasing me with his camera on his mobile in Barca.......ooooooh nooooo....During the meet-up I had a could, cuching all the time....., but that was it.....I felt ok....

Back at the Hostel 'Stayokey'

I came back at 23.30 and went to my room...

I had a room again with 20 other girls......OOOohhhhh noooooo...I went to my bed and noooooooooo....My bed was taken by a other girl from Japan.....I did not want to wake her up and I knew that we swiched....So I went back to the helpdesk for a nother bed....She had a other bed left and I went back....it was also taken...My feet was soooo hurting.....grrrrrrrr....I had to make her up....She was saying I,m sorry all the time a moving her head..I knew that is a Japan thing...they are so thankful and kind...I woke up two other people....Oooh my god...but they understand my situation...The Japan girl looked for her bed number and she had number 19....I had 10...That bed was free...sooo I could go to bed en did fale a sleep fast!
