Playing "snake and mouse"
Today was another project day. We were up early helping the cooks get their supplies out of the storage shed. We ran a couple errands in town, and then were back in Kaisosi by 2 pm. We played some games with the kids. They were playing soccer, jump rope, and snake and mouse, a game played with a parachute. Someone is the mouse and goes under the parachute, and the snake is on top of the parachute. The "mouse" runs around beneath the parachute while everyone else holds the edges of the parachute and shakes it. The "snake" runs around on top of the parachute, and tries to catch the mouse. Then all the kids gathered together, and Edward taught them a new song and Bovick taught the story. It was the Oneil family's last project day, as they are leaving for Malawi on Sunday, so they got up and said goodbye to everyone. Then we served the food to the kids. Tonight, we made our own pap and relish. McKenzie wanted me to try it. It wasn't too bad, actually. Kind of bland, but I'm glad I got to try it. We had ours with Four Cousins wine...I'm not usually a wine person, but this was pretty good!
