Going into town for the last time
We got up early today, and I finished packing. McKenzie drove me into town for the last time =( We went to this gas station type thing so that I could catch a combie ride to Windhoek. We got there early and had to wait a couple hours for the van to fill up. So I said goodbye to McKenzie and climbed in the 12-passenger van which was stuffed with 16 adults and  two babies, and we took off on the 7+ hour drive to the city. It was the longest most uncomfortable drive EVER! I was jammed against the window (thank God I had a window!!) and my legs didn't fit behind the seat in front of me, so I had to sit in an awkward twisted position for 7 hours. We did stop twice to stretch our legs, but it was way uncomfortable. Plus, the driver had only one CD that only had like four or five songs on it, and it was really scratched up, so it kept skipping around, but this didn't stop him from playing it very loudly the whole trip. We finally arrived in Windhoek, and I caught a cab to the Auas City Hotel where I had made reservations. This ride also took awhile, because my driver didn't know where it was. But I finally got there, and the clean room and soft(ish) bed was heaven after practically sleeping on a wood plank for two weeks. (The bed at McKenzie's was less than So I crashed pretty early.
