Inside my hostel on a sunny day in Spain
After spending the winter in London I was so happy to take this weekend trip to Barcelona
. I went with three friends and we stayed for five days, which was just enough time to see the entire city. I loved Barcelona. I love Gaudi...his work is amazing. This picture is of the inside of our hostel and the reason why it is one of my favorite travel pictures ever is not because its the prettiest (some of my pictures of Gaudi's work I enjoy much more) but because it reminds me of a funny story. When my friends and I got to our hostel, we found a black door that had graffiti all over it and a bunch of trash outside. We were really confused because we weren't sure how to get inside or where our hostel was. Well this group of 4 guys stumbles out of the door and shout at us "Don't go in there! It's awful...just turn around and find a different hostel now!" Needless to say we were a little more than shocked and nervous that maybe we had made a bad decision. Well we finally got ahold of the staff from the hostel and they came down to the street level to let us in. Well as soon as we walk upstairs we are confronted with one of the most beautiful hostels ever! The sun was shining through all the windows, they had a balcony and it was so cute. I'm so glad we didn't listen to those guys or else I never would have seen that beautiful place!
