We didn't have plans so I was going to kick on the couch and chillax. My mom makes a round of calls to her nieces...apparently they all planned an impromptu Easter lunch at my cousin's house in Palos Verdes. I didn't feel like hanging out with the family and being the only one there in my age bracket, so I opted to stay right where I was...lying on the couch and watching free premium movie channel preview. Minutes later my cousin Donna called and invited me over to her place and hang after she got out from work.
The temperature was excellent...mid 80s. There was a slight breeze in the air...strong enough to lift the several kites we saw floating. Instead of walking towards the pier, our usual route, we headed the other way towards the rocks. It was a beautiful afternoon...many surfers were trying to catch some waves, kids frollicking in the water and sand, adults jogging and walking up and down the shore, sail boats drifting just offshore, and marine birds scampering across the sand as the waves retreated to dig into the wet sand for their dinner. And AAWWWHHHH,,,the sunset...just awesome!
