The Spooky graveyard of St.Nicolas church in Pluckley.

Day 3...except from a few odd places for photos Pluckley was the only real destination.

Pluckley is renown for its ghosts. There is reputedly 7 ghosts, which when you consider the size of the town, it is a very bold statement. Theres the screaming woods, the crossroads at the Woodcutters Arms, the obviously the churchyard. Too many to name. You cant help stop and think however that perhaps its all made up to make some revenue for the villagers. The village itself has a population around 1000 and is just off the M20. It has starred in many "ghost hunting" programmes and even Top Gear.

I stopped there with the intent of asking some locals for their stories but didnt for one reason. They must be so fed up with potential ghost hunters in their village there more likely to swear at you then give you a story. It is still a very atmospheric place to visit though even during the day time (although the dark weather probably didnt help.) It would be easy to see why so many people report ghosts in such a dark, unlit, closed community.

I will soon be doing a ghost hunt at Pluckley, but I dont really expect to see anything despite the stories.
