Palma, Mallorca
Mallorca's character is shaped, above all, by it's climate. The people of the Mediterrean know how to take life slowly - they have time to chat, to take a siesta rather than rushing back to work, to enjoy the outdoors whether it is the mountains or the sea.
Palma the capital of Mallorca, comes as a surprise to many people - it is stylish, sophisticated and intimate yet burstling with life. As many people like Palma as i do you will enjoy the best restaurants, shops , beaches and nightlife as well as a thriving arts scene and a lively cafe society.
Palma's masterpiece is the stunning La Seu Cathedral, rising out of the city walls which once marked the edge of the sea. As i enjoyed walking it's maze of narrow streets hiding museums, palaces, fantastic courtyards, you will begin to appreciate the variety of this fascinating city!!!
One of the staff greeted us with a smile asking if we made some bookings...we said no...since we arrived early she gave us a table in the garden with some diners already there!
The place was very relaxed and the interior of the restaurant looked much more formal, the courtyard garden is really romantic and pretty at night!
We ordered a bottle of Mallorcan red wine and some bread and olives while we studied the menu! Had some starters with red peppers stuffed with seafood and baby squid. For our main courses, i ordered Maigret of Duck with exotic fruit flavours---yum!!! and Loin of Pork with cabbage stuff with prawns...both dishes were beautifully presented and we enjoyed them immensely!!!
