Kharkiv taxis — are cars of various models. You can tell them from other cars by a colour lamp with squares on top. There are almost no official taxi parking lots but there are places where they usually wait for customers. The most expensive places to take a taxi are railway stations and the airport. Taxi drivers, who wait near casinos, hotels, and night clubs would also, as a rule, charge a rather high price. That is why it is better to call a taxi on the phone and pay for a kilometer according to the counter.

If you do not want to use public transport or taxi, you can rent a car. For that you need your passport, an international driving license, and an insurance certificate.
