Kharkiv Passenger Pivdennyi Railway Station
From the platforms of Pivdennyi Railway Station through
southern and northern tunnels the arriving passengers get to the
underground floor of the station, from where they can come out to
Railway Station Square or enter the underground (by the way, the
cheapest and the most convenient way to get downtown). From the station
you can travel by tram, taxi, van or bus.
Railway tickets can be bought at the Pivdennyi Railway
Station ticket offices, at the Service Centre, and at the advance sale
ticket offices. You should know that a ticket will be sold to you only
after you have produced your passport or other identification. No
documents are not necessary to buy tickets at the commuter ticket
offices.
On the first floor of the station there is a 24-hour
access Service Centre, where besides buying tickets, you can book
a room at the Express Hotel or call a taxi, hire a porter, as well as
get some information, make a Xerox copy or use a computer. On the
second floor there is a comfortable waiting room and Pivdenne cafe. On
the additional floor there is a conference room and Persha Stolytsia
cafe The main hall of the station is equipped with two electronic
informers with sensor monitors to render information services to the
passengers. A colour display to demonstrate media files and commercials
is located in the centre of the hall. The screen is visible from almost
any point of the room.
You can take a comfortable express train from Kharkiv
to Kyiv and Symferopol. A trip to Kyiv takes about 5 hours, and to
Symferopol — 7 hours.
