Time to push over the tower
We made a super quick stop in Pisa, dropping our bags at the train station and taking the bus to the Field of Miracles. We were dropped off in a little square of tourist shops and we caught our first glimpse of the Leaning Tower through an arch. Cool! Everything was so white. And bright. Even on a cloudy day, the white buildings seemed to pop out of the background.
All we wanted to do was take a photo proping up/pushing over the tower. We didn't feel like wasting a few hours on site just to climb to the top. And we were quite content just staring at it in all its magnificent leaning glory. We walked around, got some photos from a few different angles, bought our souviner postcards with the blue sky and caught the bus back to the train station. I was a little nervous on the way back because we were making lots of stops and driving by a lot of places I didn't recognize. After 10-15 mintues I was seriously doubting my ability to put us on the right bus, and then there we were at the train station. We got there a little early so we had enough time to wait in line to claim our bags and still catch our train to Rome.
