Bicykling on Cuba, spring 2008

Oslo Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Epic colonial architecture, libidinous young salsa dancers, Che Guevara murals, white-powder sandy beaches, and swaying fields of sugar cane - the images of Cuba are as transfixing as they are timeless. This is an island of unique historical heritage floating amid a sea of encroaching globalisation. I`ll be experiencing Cuba bicycling on the island for 14 days. I`ll be back telling you about my experiences, meanwhile enjoy a mojitto

A few days in Oslo befor traveling to Cuba via Paris

Siri and me in Thailand autumn 2006

My twin sister Siri, who is living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the last 3 years, is in

Oslo celebrating Easter.  She has made it a habit to go back to Norway for Easter.  She loves skiing and as we all know the skiing conditions is not the best in Malaysia.

I will be travelling to Cuba via Oslo and Paris.  I decided to have some days with Siri in Oslo.  I haven’t seen here since I visited her in KL in October -  November last year.

Her husband is also in Oslo, the same is her daughter, Linn Siri who is living in London.  Her son Christian is as the only one of the family living in Oslo.  It will be nice to meet them all.

I know she has contacted my cousins living in Oslo so we can have a small family meeting.

I will also be meeting my friends Tove and Tore whom I traveled with last time I visited Siri in Kuala Lumpur.  So my days in Oslo will be hectic but nice.
