One of my most recent trips turned out to be my most influential. If there is a place to visit to get away from it all, Japan is definitely one of them. Ten days of spending time here made me really appreciate the art, fashion, and culture of the Japanese.

DAY 7. 9:55 PM (Tokyo)

To sum up a long entry... EXPO! It was one of those crazy events that Japan hosts every 5 years to display some of their newest inventions as well as other countries from all over the world. I got to see some of the newest Japanese creations, and some of their newest transportation devices. Met a lot of interesting people from around the world too, and ended up getting a lot of souvenirs. My sister ended up in a clinic because of exhaustion, so that was sort of a bummer. Afterwards, we departed for Kyoto... which was about a 3 hour ride, but Nakazawa the crazy bus driver man went 150 on the freeway... so we ended up there in 2. Checked into a Holiday Inn... that's about it.

I remembered my husband and I'd been to Expo many times. It was burning hot in 2005.
