10k run for Aids Orphans
October 5, 2008
Hi all, ok so not a gig a such but definitely an event!
A number of friends and I are doing the Liverpool 10K run on Sunday 5th October. Although active any one who knows me knows I'm NOT a runner. Considering myself built more for 'strength' (read overweight) than endurance I'd never run more than 800 metres before August this year, but I've been training hard each week and got in shape to run for a fantastic Charity - The Mango Tree.
The Mango Tree helps over 10,000 orphans in Tanzania and Kenya who have lost parents through HIV/AIDS - you can check their work out here: www.themangotree.org
To ease my discomfort I would be really grateful if you could consider sponsoring me and the guys on-line @ http://www.justgiving.com/10kliverpool
We're trying to raise £2500 and we're at about £1800 currently! Whatever you can offer will be put to very good use and I'm very grateful for your support
Thanks Very Much
Ian
