We checked into AP Inn last night with no hassles and went out for a few bintangs on Jalan Legian. We got to bet at 2:30 and I slept soundly only waking up to weird loud crashing and creaking noises which had apparently kept Megan up during the night (still not sure what the sounds were - kinda freaky).
We ate breakfast at Kubuku where we were harrassed by a begging cat and dog - they were pretty cute though, as long as they didn't come too close to me. After breakfast we went in search of sim card with no luck as the phone shops were closed on Sundays. Megan did find some fisherman pants however.
We managed to purchase flights to Yoga for a reasonable price and without much hassle.
After eating an awesome sate lunch (accompanied by several bintang longnecks) as secret garden cafe we got private transport to Ubud where we checked into Ananda Cottages. The place was just as beautiful as I remembered it to be. We got an upstairs fan cooled room for about $70 a night - pretty expensive, but so worth it! We had a quick swim in a new pool that I had never seen before then ducked into Indus Cafe across the road for juices.
Later that evening we headed to Batubulan to see the Kecak dance which was good. The guy rolling around in the burning coconut husks was particularly entertaining. There was a bit of confusion with organising the trip - different staff at the hotel kind of cutting in on each other trying to get our business, we ended up feeling a bit bad even though it wasn't really our fault.
After the dance performance we were dropped off in the main street of Ubud where we had dinner at Casa Luna which was particularly good. I had seafood kebabs on lemongrass sticks, yum. Oh and a banana lassie (my favorite drink in the world).
It has been a fairly exhausting day so I'm going to sleep:)
