Major Hail Storm

Arrived home from work knowing that some storms were fast approaching. Tracked the radar and news on the computer and watched as the storm took pretty much a beeline directly for my neighborhood. Hearing the news I was concerned for the first time that I didn't have a garage or carport at my apartment.
And the concern was justified. As the storm rolled through my neighborhood was one of the hardest hit areas from the storm. We got knocked with hail as large as baseball sized for about 2-3 minutes. Needless to say, hail that size does some serious damage and cars, windows, and roofs took the brunt of it.
Turns out a small tornado even came down in a wooded area for less than 1/4 mile (400meters) about a mile where a live. It was an EF-0 which means the winds were minor in comparison to the monster tornadoes that were so destructive in other areas of the US (Joplin, Birmingham) earlier this year. Thankfully nothing like that here.
So a crazy few minutes of a storm and some minor inconvenience with a damaged car. All in all things could have been much worse.
