So today was a work day for me. While Steve got a haircut, worked out, and explored the hotel, I had to research our way out of Turkey and catch up on some blogging. When I had had enough computer time, I too took advantage of the hotel fitness room (it’s the first one we’ve seen since Tel Aviv!), and then I took a swim at the hotel’s incredible “beach.” It’s not really a beach, it’s a rocky outcropping with a ladder.
By 5pm neither of us had had lunch and were starving, so we took the car out to find some food. We found a place serving the usual Turkish dishes, and we had tasty salads, pide for me, and lamb shish for Steve. Same old, same old -- but delicious as usual.
In the late evening we walked down to the beach area again and watched the sun go down over the Mediterranean. There are mountains just off to our right, and the whole scene was so gorgeous. There was even a DJ down there playing smooth tunes, and he did a really good job of soundtracking the sunset. Very nice.
