Last minute frenzy of trip preparation ... or not.
March 26, 2008
The departure day has finally arrived! And we are ... ready. Really. Amazing, but true.
Passports have been updated, extra photos stowed for future visas; Chinese visas have been secured (we'll take care of India...later); locations have been researched and travel books have been read (and reread); reservations have been made and flights have been booked for the first two months of travel; luggage has been packed and tested then repacked and retested; travel checks have been purchased; vaccinations have been procured and prescriptions filled; batteries have been charged and memory cards cleared in preparation for the exciting images to come; SKYPE has been installed and calls have been forwarded, the house has been scoured and prepped for the house sitters; my hair has been shorn -- really shorn (but I will look like Ronald McDonald in 3 weeks nonetheless); the car has been washed (but not sold, unfortunately); bling has been removed and locked in the safe; taxes have been filed; bills have been paid; pups have been moved into their hapy new home with Steve's parents; trial travel blogs have been posted for practice, Netflix canceled and TiVo has been cleared...
So that's all, right? There's nothing else we could possibly do to prepare, right?
Stay tuned, and we'll let you know how it goes.
