FOUR months down and just over two to go! It's been a fantastic adventure so far. Thanks for your smiles, comments and messages -- keep them coming!

Here's one we could have skipped.

DAY FIVE of the Beaches & Ruins Road Trip: LETOON.

There are three pricing categories that we have found while visiting the ruins in Turkey: it costs either 2, 5, or 10 YTL. Our first stop of the day, Letoon (11 miles north of Kalkan), cost 5 YTL and was a big disappointment (small, overgrown, and the obvious areas of restoration detracted from the actual ruins). Someone should tell them they have a 2YTL sight.

Back on the road and off to Patara, with a quick stop for bread in Kalkan. We pulled over and ate it with our tomatoes and cheese and it was the best roadside lunch ever.
