Manitou Lodge
March 7, 2008
We found the Manitou Lodge online using a Google search, and it looked
very warm and cozy. The real thing turned out to be just as nice as
we'd hoped. The main room was warm and inviting, with music playing
and a fire in the fireplace. The gift shop has lots of Pacifc
Northwest crafts. They have several cabins but we stayed in the main
lodge in the Sacajawea room.
The room had a wood burning fireplace, but we didn't use it. Breakfast was prepared for us and waiting in our mini-fridge when we checked in. Croissant with ham, cheese, and eggs, fresh orange juice, coffee, and muffins. We shared a croissant and took the rest with us.
The next entry will be about our 2nd day, as we traveled down the coast.
