Cherry Nightclub at The Red Rock Casino
We ladies were in the mood to dance...so off to Cherry we went. Will was not into clubbing so he left to try his luck at the poker tables. James, Heinz, and Erin's boyfriend were good sports. While in line for Cherry, Heinz' attire was questioned (white sneakers). Somehow he talked his way in.
The entryway into Cherry was a red, round, reflective, and futuristic. It reminded me of the entry into Space Mountain at Disneyland. Anyways...Cherry was practically dead when we entered but it was only 10. So we headed out to the adjacent pool area to chillax. The pool area was beautiful...large comfy cushions, pillows, an outdoor bar, palm trees, and mood lighting. The only thing it was lacking was heat lamps because the gusty wind was brisk.
After taking more photos, we stepped inside. Alas, the place was jumpin'. Scantily-clad Burlesque style dancers were already getting their groove on atop of their platforms. So we started bumpin' and grindin' on the dance floor, too. But I was so thirsty...so to the indoor bar I went! I ordered X-rated Infusion with 7-up. X-rated Infusion is a French infused vodka. To me it has the flavor of lychees but it actually is an infusion of blood oranges, mangos, and passionfruits. Anyways...drink was great but also way too much ice! I downed that in less than 5 minutes! We danced for hours...awh good times!
The music mix was getting too long so we headed outdoors to rest our dancing shoes! I went to the outdoor bar for another drink.
With 2 bartenders tending bar...one would expect speedy service especially since I was the ONLY one standing by the bar WITHOUT a drink! I waited for like 5 minutes before one of the guys took my drink order...a Jager Bomb! I hate when bartenders pre-mix Jager Bombs and skimp on the Red Bull! The whole point of the drink is to drop the shot glass of Jager into a larger glass of Red Bull and watch the 2 mix, bubble, and fizz before chugging the whole thing as fast as you can without chipping a tooth on the shot glass! I ended up sipping it through a small cocktail straw...that's no fun!?!At about midnight, Mel got a message from Tuyen...she landed in Las Vegas and was on her way to meet us at Cherry. Not long after, Tuyen joined the TB group on the crowded dance floor and we all boogied to the music!
I think around 1 am, half of the TravBuddy group took off and called it a night (Heinz, Lisa, Michelle, Erin and her boyfriend).
Erin had to drive back to LA in a couple of hours...CRAZY!The remaining group (James, Mel, Angel, Julz, Tuyen, and I) went back outside to relax on the comfy sofas. We ended up burying ourselves with cusions to keep warm while chatting and getting to know Tuyen. We were all pooped!
We left Cherry around 2:30 am. Outside the club we decided to grab some grub to replenish our energy stores...but where to go? Mel suggested the California Hotel. But James forgot where he parked so we ended up getting food at the Grand Luxe Cafe at the Red Rock Casino.
We all ordered breakfast except for Julz who ordered a sandwich. I was not pleased with my ham and cheese omelet.
..it was a half-assed omelet because there was no cheese filing...the cheese was melted on top! At least the orange juice I ordered was fresh-squeezed! After we ate, we ALL piled into Mel's compact car...Mel and James in the front seats...and the rest of girls in the back. We drove around the Red Rock Casino parking lot and dropped James off at his rental car then we were off to drive Julz home.
At Mel's house, Tuyen kicked me off the couch and onto an airbed in Mel's room...it was 4:30 or 5 and I was too tired to care...just as long as I had something comfy and cushiony to rest on!

The Lucky Bar at The Red Rock Casino
After sushi, Will and James went on ahead to the Lucky Bar at the Red Rock Casino to stake claim on the TravBuddy meeting area. Mel, Angel, and I raced back to Mel's to get ready.
What I planned to wear was wrinkled...at least Mel had an iron BUT no ironing board! What kind of accommodation was this? Just kidding Mel...you were an awesome host!
We are running late again! We were all dolled up and ready to go! We headed to Julz' friend's house to pick up the fabulous Julz. Angel and I giggled at the site were the night before Mel nearly turned at a bike sign. I think our giggling distracted Mel because just after, she drove over the curb of a roundabout! We laughed at Mel's craziness! As soon as Julz got in the car we were off!
The Lucky Bar is a very stylish lounge.
The bar was decked out with red sofas, red bar stools, and red curtains. The crystal? lighting hanging from the ceiling and centrally in the middle of the bar accented the poshness of the place.Several TravBuddies were there when we arrived. I went around saying hello to TravBuddies I have met before and introduced myself to new TravBuddy faces (John, Heinz, and Raymond). Erin was a rockstar!...she brought an entourage...her boyfriend and her friends Matt, Michelle, and Lisa. I headed to the bar and ordered one of their signature drinks...the Dead Red...it was tasty! Shortly after, Mel busted out the red name tags and sign-in sheet.
Right off the bat, everyone was immersed in conversation. More TravBuddies (RJ, Amy, and Sal) arrived and easily intergrated into the group. The fun, laughter, and rowdiness increased exponentially when shots were had. I don't know who took the first photo but camera flashes were going off non-stop thereafter. More drinks and more shots and more photos. The mojitos were really tasty! When the in-house DJ started spinning some of us started dancing...even on the ottoman/drink table.
When several TravBuddies took off, we decided to take the TravBuddy Party elsewhere.
