I had to collect my Big Son from Belfast International Airport so I took the camera for the spin! Of Course... I took the Mountain Road. Come along for the ride!

Father and Son road trip...

Heading for the Hills - literally

I set out to collect my biggest son Rudi from Belfast International Airport and took the camera along as the weather was changeable with occasional sun. I drove the back roads from home (Ardsbeg, Gortahork - Donegal), over the Muckish Gap (Muckish is a local mountain see description), past Glenveagh National Park and then through Letterkenny, Derry into Northern Ireland & then all the way down the motorway to Belfast. (didn't bother with any Belfast pics though.)

I stopped off in Dungiven for a picture of the works going on at the castle, for a friend (that's you johnyb66 ), and then really surprised poor old sleepy Rudi with a camera flashing in his face!

These trips always look different when 'posted' but here's a glimpse at my mini-road trip last month.

Nice. I love your country, and circled it by car several years ago, then returned for more. Beauty everywhere!

Must have been a great trip, father and son! Where does he live? Amsterdam? Greets, Lex.
