I was alone alone alone. And yet I never felt lonely. That's Rapa Nui for you. There's somehting about it. Dunno how to describe it. Maybe it's the 100+ Moai, standing or not, underground or atop a volcano. Or maybe it's the people. Or that you are, in fact, in the farthest place on Earth from any other. Whatever. Rapa Nui heals your soul. At least it did mine. March 2007
