a one day hike in tierra del fuego

We arrived in Ushuaia early afternoon an had the next day free before we boarded the MS Explorer headed for Antartica. So me and two fellow travelers decided that we go the next day for a hike in Tierra del fuego.

The next day we got a cab into ten national park and got dropt of at the trainstation of the most southern railway. It was a great experience to ride an old steam train thru this stunning park. At the end of the line there was the busses waiting for all the other tourists. We were the olny ones that were going on foot further.  We walked that day opprox. 16 km (10 Mls) and it took us about 8 hrs including stops lunch en all. It was an easy to follow route, wel marked and the path was good.

When we reached the end were we took the bus back to Ushuaia we were absolutly nackerd, but we had a great day behind us with stunning vieuws, rain, hail, wind, and sunshine.
