Journey to Germany begins
We started this day by going to Gran so that Shane could send off some postcards and me to fill some gass on the car. Left Gran at about 12.15 and drove a road I've never taken before. But it went smoothly until we came to Drammen... there OF COURSE I had to take a wrong turn, and drove for 15 km before I got a chance to turn around... darn, that pissed me off. LOL... Oh well, I got to turn, and found the right way to go to Sandefjord and Torp airport.. ( not that it was that difficult...hahaha)
We were at the airport quite early, so we had time to relax, grab a bite to eat and look at souveniers. Shane bought some, and was able to leave them there till we returned.
The flight was scheduled to leave at 5.45pm, but was delayed. But even if our plane didn't get there till like 5.50 or something, we were able to take off at 6.10... that's fast !!
Landed at Frankfurt Hahn around 8pm, and Aland was there to pick us up. He took Shane to Mainz to meet up with Dahling (Bettina). I talked with her for a few minutes, and she strikes me as a real nice lady. :o)
Aland and I went first to his place to drop off my bags, and then we went to get something to eat. Since it was passed 11 pm, almost everything was closed except for Burger King. So we ended up there...Mike came and met us there, and we went to his place. After a while a friend of theirs came, and funny enough his name was Shane...lol.
