Meteora Greece
July 10, 2007
After several days in Athens, my mother and I rented a car, and drove for about 6 hours to Meteora. Meteora is famous for its giant monolith rocks protruding out of the earth, and the monastaries that sit perched upon many of them.
We stayed at a great hotel for about 50 euros. THe hotel had nice views of the rocks from our balcony, and the little lady running the place was very cool. We went up to several of the monastaries the first afternoon, and were just blown away. It was absolutely beautiful.
I'll leave you with the photos, as the views were the main attraction.
