The Summary
We started our Thailand trip in Koh Lipe via the ferry from Langkawi, Malaysia. We spent a couple of days on the island, then took the ferry over to Trang on the mainland. A cheap flight to Bangkok followed with a side trip to sleepy Kanchanaburi to break up the hell of Bagkok. Next came a sleeper train to Chang Mai and a hire car down what must rank as one of the twistiest roads in the world to Pai. Finally the train back to Phitsanoluk to visit Sukhothai before flying out of Bangkok.
