Transit through Caracus

Caracas Travel Blog › entry 5 of 33 › view trip summary

Hi all My name is Mark Robertson, 27 years old from Wellington, New Zealand. I'm off to Bogota, Colombia on 4 March 2008 from Auckland New Zealand, via Buenos Aires. Spending 1 month in Colombia attending a Colombian friend's wedding before backpacking my way from Colombia to Argentina, via Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia over the following 5 months.

Transit through Caracus

Currently in transit at Caracus airport.  The city looked nice from the air at night.  Never mind the dicatator who runs the show.

Aeroplane travel strikes me as odd when I think about the fact I am hurtling through the air at 35,000 ft in a steel tube.  The concerns and rigours going on in day to day life amoungst humanity, behind every small light one can see below.  Ive been travelling 20 hours now.  I have no idea what time it is. And there is not a single clock in this airport to let me know what time it is.
