Manly Scenic Walk

Having seen this on the net before flying out, I fancied walking the scenery along the shoreline and persuaded 'roamingduck' and Emma to join in.
We caught the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly and, before starting out on the Walk, pottered through the town for a look at the beach on the other side - it is rightly famous and is a good rival to Bondi. After a coffee and bacon sarni, we set off on the walk, following the leaflet/guide obtained from the Tourist Information Office.
Varied is an understatement to describe the walk: sometimes along a beach; sometimes along back streets; in the latter stages, through tropical wilderness. There is a different view at every turn and the views out across the bay are wonderful. Nowhere is it difficult if you are reasonably fit.
At Spit Bridge, (the end), we crossed the bridge and then the road, (didn't notice there was an underpass), to catch a bus back into the city centre. We waited for ages for a bus, although many Limited Stop buses went by. On reflection it would have been better to catch the bus the other way back to Manly to return on the ferry.
